December 10th, 2023 is my 12th Art Business Anniversary!

What an amazing year to celebrate all the hard work of these past years and how they culminated beautifully into a successful year of shows. I got the pleasure of sharing the story about my art journey with several people at the Metamorphosis solo show and the Camelback Studio Tour.

The word grateful doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings looking back on this amazing year in my art career. My largest solo show to date, gallery representation in Oregon, two very prestigious group shows and my first year on the Camelback Studio Tour, just to go over the highlights.

Attention art enthusiasts and nature lovers! I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. I am honored to be part of the upcoming group juried exhibition and sale, "Inspired: Arizona Artists Celebrate the Natural World," presented by the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation (ACNC)/Phoenix Zoo's Art on the Wild Side exhibit program. This unique art show, hosted at the Phoenix Zoo, promises to be a captivating celebration of art, inspiration, and conservation. I invite you to mark your calendars for the opening day on Friday, September 8th, as this is an event you won't want to miss!

I am delighted to share some exciting news with you today! I am now represented by the prestigious Brumfield Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. This new collaboration fills me with joy and gratitude as I embark on this artistic journey with a gallery that perfectly aligns with my vision and aesthetics. I cannot wait to visit their space in person and experience firsthand the beautiful artwork they showcase.

I have been pushing my artwork in new directions this year and was overjoyed when I received notice that my newest painting was accepted into the Arizona Watercolor Association Fall show.

For the entire month of April I decided to mix it up in my art studio. This year is about exploration, so why not? I created totally non-representational mini paintings every day as a way to loosen up and explore and have fun! These small 5” x 7” abstract paintings became my daily practice and I posted on social media as I went along.

I am an only child raised by a single mother. As a child I was shy, introverted and quiet. Art was my constant companion.

From the age of three I was always drawing. I used chalk, crayons, markers, anything I could get my hands on. My happiest memories are drawing alone in my room with my vivid imagination to keep me company.
