I am honored to be among the selected artists for a new exhibition at the Shemer Art Center.

Varied Voices In Celebration of Women II, is a juried exhibition, held in collaboration with the Herberger Theater Center, showcasing the unique and authentic viewpoints of Arizona women artists.

The show will run from:

May 24 - July 13, 2023

About the Exhibition:

This exhibition, to open May 24, will also feature art created by 38 other female artists recently juried into the In Celebration of Women II exhibition at the Herberger Theater Center.

Artwork for this collaborative exhibition will vary in theme and content, and showcase a wide range of media, including but not limited to, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, wood, metal, fiber, and glass. Artwork can be realistic or abstract, and must be original.

About my Painting:

My painting that was selected for the show is called Blue. It is a figurative watercolor painting of a young woman and I chose to paint her with a dark background and blue hair. I wanted the painting to speak to the uniqueness of women’s personalities and individually in their creative expression of themselves.
