AZ Watercolor Association Juried Exhibition

I have been pushing my artwork in new directions this year and was overjoyed when I received notice that my newest painting was accepted into the Arizona Watercolor Association Fall show.

This painting combines the figure with a lot of abstraction, a look that I’ve been reaching towards for years. I have titled the piece, Anticipation. I love the pose of the figure and the bold brush strokes and energetic lines surrounding and flowing through her. This artwork is framed to a size of 25” w x 32” h. If you would like to view this painting and the rest of the beautiful work in this juried exhibition, please visit the Civic Center Public Gallery. All of the information is listed below.

The Arizona Watercolor Association (AWA) was founded in 1960 by professional watercolor artists and instructors to advance the art of painting in water-soluble media and promote public awareness and interest through education and exhibitions. The group holds meetings for demonstrations, critiques, and networking on the second Thursday of each month from September to November and January to June. For more about the AWA, visit AZWatercolor.com.

Arizona Watercolor Association Juried Exhibition is on view now through December 31, 2021, at the Civic Center Public Gallery inside the Scottsdale Civic Center Library, 3839 N Drinkwater Blvd, Scottsdale AZ 85251. Click here for library hours.
